The California Volunteer Matching Network (CVMN) connects Californians to meaningful, high-impact volunteer opportunities in their communities through a dynamic online volunteer matching system.

CaliforniaVolunteers and its local partners also help nonprofits and public agencies throughout the state find the volunteers they need.

Through its sponsorship of California Citizen Corps, partnerships with the Governor's Office of Homeland Security and Governor's Office of Emergency Services and work with nonprofit organizations, CaliforniaVolunteers is helping communities across the state prepare and respond to emergencies and disasters.

Cesar Chavez Day

CaliforniaVolunteers sponsors the annual Cesar Chavez Day of Service and Learning to honor labor leader Cesar E. Chavez. Celebrated March 31 of every year, the program teaches K-12 students about the life and legacy of Chavez.

Learn more about the initiative including: afterschool service clubs for middle school students, curriculum resources for educators and playground builds to provide children safe and enriching places to play.
